the things that went wrong

i'm willing to bet the vast majority of wedding days don't go over without a hitch.

in our case, the only "hitches" were incredibly minor inconveniences. mostly things i'd overlooked or planned poorly for. since the day was absolutely perfect despite these little bummers, i can now list them here without even a slight bit of stress:

1. i failed to bring an ipod cord to the reception site. while we were on the bus driving to the reception, my maid of honor got a phone call from our MCs saying they had to run home to get one. oops!

2. some family members were late and my dad wanted to wait for them. it was totally fair for him to want to wait (and we did for about 10 minutes!), but eventually we just said "we're starting". fortunately, my dad forgave me.

3. the sound guy at the ceremony didn't start our recessional song! this was probably the most frustrating thing of the entire day because i was super excited to walk out as a newlywed to this song. apparently he was so busy clapping for us as we were pronounced married that he didn't remember he had a job to do! (someone soon got his attention and he turned the music on in time for the last two members of the wedding party to walk out to it... argh!)
