i created our reception playlist with the help of my beloved & a few guests who requested songs. we had about an hour and a half of "dancing" music and nothing playing during dinner because we wanted to be considerate of guests who are hard of hearing. plus, it's kind of unnecessary.it turned out to be a good mix of songs; mostly fast, but a couple slow thrown in for good measure. there weren't any typical wedding songs. i'm not going to give the entire list, but a few of my favorites include the following:
nothin' fancy, by dave barnes (our first dance song)
barbara ann & surfer girl, by the beach boys (danced w/ my daddio to one of these!)
winter, by josh radin
macarena
mr. jones
people were really good sports about dancing! based on the pictures, they had a great time!
(one other cool thing was that we had two "dollar" dances. guests paid a dollar to dance with one of us for a few moments. the money we collected went to world vision. it was a great chance to spend time with people individually, if only for a very short time!)
