registry items we use the most

both my husband & i lived independently before we got married last november, so we had a fair amount of stuff between the two of us. when we registered at target & bed, bath, and beyond, we thought about what big (ie: expensive) items we'd like as gifts. i was the one who picked most of these items, as i'm the cook in our little family. having had that role for almost 7 months, these are the things i use the most and wholeheartedly recommend for wedding registries:

1. pyrex bowl/baking set. i can't remember how many pieces were in my set, but it includes 4 mini storage containers, two bowls with lids, a square baking dish, a round baking dish, AND a pie plate. awesome.
2. a kitchenaid stand mixer. my mom had one and always used it to make pizza when we were growing up. i buy my pizza dough from trader joe's, but this baby still gets TONS of use. plus, cornflower blue?! total eye candy.
3. knife set. this isn't the exact set we have, but i'm so so glad we invested in good quality knives. they make cooking/cutting SO easy.
4. combination blender/food processor. this is the EXACT version we have and i use it multiple times each week. guacamole, smoothies, and hummus are my main staples.
*we didn't register for these bowls, but my mom found me part of a set at a thrift store years ago and i LOVE using them... for mixing, for serving, etc. etc.
p.s. i didn't know about it last year when it was time for us to get started, but amazon has a registry. i'm in love with this idea because you can register from anywhere (including etsy!)
